Ten years ago, in 2014, my beautiful daughter Sophie died by suicide at just 13 years old. She had suffered from poor mental health for a few years prior to this.
In those preceding years, she had sought help from Childline, a free listening service run by NSPCC. Last year alone, Childline delivered 66,692 counselling sessions with children where the child’s main concern was mental or emotional health.
So on 15th June this year, a few of us (me, my husband Craig Moss and 2 friends, Jean Bruce and Sheila Morris) are going to walk the Pentland Hills Skyline.
This will involve 14 hills (2 of them twice), 27km and 5,577 feet of ascent. You can see the route in the attached photos.
This walk is in memory of the beautiful Sophie and all money raised will go to help Childline to support literally 1000’s of Children every year. If you would like to read more, you can visit Sophie’s memorial page here:
